COVID-19 Information

The safety of our artists, fans, and staff is always our top priority and planned for accordingly. We encourage those who are sick to stay home, and remind everyone coming to our venues to wash their hands regularly with soap and water and use hand sanitizer.
 
We continue to implement preventive measures at all Live Nation Venues in line with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other health agencies. We have taken the following steps to help ensure the health and safety of everyone who walks into our buildings:

  • Extra hand sanitizer dispensers at all bathroom areas, concessions stands, lobbies, offices and backstage
  • Additional signage and messaging in restrooms, backstage and offices to help reinforce basic health and hygiene practices
  • Eliminating hand pump condiment dispensers, providing individual packages instead
  • Granting fans ability to bring disposable wipes and hand sanitizers into all venues
  • Janitorial staff equipped with additional USDA and Food Code Compliant disinfectants and wipes for immediate cleaning response
  • Increased frequency of cleaning routines and disinfection of high touch areas

How can I get tickets to Mercury Lounge shows?


You can purchase tickets online by clicking the FIND TICKETS NOW icon on any show page on our site and you will be taken to the Ticketfly event page. Tickets to Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theatre shows are sold at the Mercury Lounge box office every Thursday through Saturday from Noon – 6pm. Bowery Ballroom and Mercury Lounge tickets are sold CASH ONLY and free of service charges, while Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theatre tickets are sold CARD ONLY with a $2 - $5 box office fee on each ticket. If tickets do not sell out in advance, they will be sold at the door on the night of the show.

If a show is canceled, where do I get a refund?


If a show is canceled, refunds are available at point of purchase. You will be refunded automatically if you purchased a ticket through Ticketfly. Please note openers are always subject to change.

What are my payment options in the venue?


Cash is king, but we also accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa at our bars. If tickets do not sell out in advance, they will be sold at the door on the night of the show (cash Only). We have an ATM on-site.

How old do I have to be to get into the club?


All Mercury Lounge shows are 21+ unless otherwise advertised and require a government-issued photo ID or passport to enter. Security is present at all shows to verify your age.

My friend and I just started a band, how can I get us a show booked at the Mercury Lounge?

Does Mercury Lounge have seats?


Mercury Lounge has very limited seating in the live room. There are benches along the walls, but you’ll want to stand—it’s a rock show, right?

Do I need to bring ID?


Of course you do! Government-issued photo ID is required for entry to all shows.

Do you serve cheese fries?

No, but there are light snacks available for purchase at Mercury Lounge.

Can you scan my tickets off my phone?

Yes! We recommend downloading the excellent Ticketfly app.

What are the usual set times?


Show generally begin 30 minutes after doors open. One to three support acts usually precede the headliner. For set times, call the box office (212-260-4700) during business hours on the day of the show.

What kind of drinks do you have?


We have a full bar in each venue, with plenty of H20 and soft drinks along with a wide selection of beers (on-tap and bottled), wine and spirits to cure what ales you.

I have a blog. Do I count as press?


Maybe, but don’t ask us. The Mercury Lounge doesn’t issue press passes or photo passes. All press inquiries should be directed to the band’s publicist, label or management.

Can I get in for free?


Maybe, but what are you going to do for us? Relationships are a two-way street. We are always in search of street-teamers and folks to flyer. We can also offer you free admission if you were on any of the Yankees’ championship rosters.

Can you give me the contact of someone at the label?


Unfortunately, we cannot give out that information, but Google and liner notes might help. You’ll be surprised what you can find on the Internet.

Can I bring my camera?


Unless an artist specifies otherwise (you can check the photo policy at the door or call 212-260-4700 on the day of show), no photo pass is needed to shoot, but no video/audio recording from a professional camera and NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY.

Do you have a coat check?

Yes, but it’s only open on Friday and Saturday nights in the colder months as well as select sold-out shows midweek. You can call the box office (212-260-4700) to check if it will be open on any specific non-weekend night. The coat check costs $2 per item. Remember: Don’t lose your coat-check ticket! If you do, you’ll have to wait until the very end of the night to get your items back. You can take a photo of your ticket on your phone just in case.

Pues-je fumer dans le club?


Sorry, smoking is not permitted, however, there is an outdoor smoking section at Mercury Lounge.

Is there re-entry?


Absolutely not! There is no re-entry to all clubs and all exits are final, (excluding the smoking area).

Do you rent your rooms for private events?


Of course! Nuestra casa es su casa. We like to party. Please e-mail events@mercuryloungenyc.com for more information.

Where do I park?


There is no designated parking at Mercury Lounge, but there is ample street parking in the neighborhood and a parking garage located directly behind Mercury Lounge, on Essex Street. And you can always go green and take the subway.


ADA Accommodations

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we can provide special accommodations for patrons with disabilities. If you require additional accommodations for an event, please contact us at ada@mercuryloungenyc.com with information about which event you will be attending and the accommodations required.



Other Mercury Lounge Rules and FAQs:

Tickets purchased in front of the venue are usually counterfeit and admittance with a counterfeit ticket will be denied.
No flyers, stickers, handbills, no outside beverages, no markers, spray paint, weapons (includes pocket knives), no smoking (including e-cigarettes), no selfie sticks, no hula hoops, no glow sticks.

You will be ejected for throwing ANYTHING.

If you lose an item at a show, please call 212-260-4700 the following day.

All shows are general admission.
All bags will be searched.

Camelbaks are allowed as long as they are empty.

You must show proof of age by government-issued photo ID and get a wristband to be served at the bar.
